The courtyards around Jackson Market are home to Jackson Place, our collection of furnished studios, apartments, cottages, and a loft. Guests walk over for morning coffee, eat on the patio, and get to know the neighborhood the way locals do. It’s half a block to Sony and a five-minute walk to downtown Culver City, and it feels more like a boutique hotel than a rental.
hidden in the neighborhood for over a century
In 1925, Charles Bartunek opened a small store next to his cottage on Jackson Avenue and named it Bartunek’s Market. Studio crews from the lot down the street were regulars from the start. We’ve run it since early 2000, and over the years we’ve grown the properties around it with new patios, a pizza kitchen, and furnished homes for guests, while keeping the market and our community at the heart of it all.
